Earthquake.

At 4:28:04 on May 12th, 2008. There was a big earthquake occurred in Wenchuan, Sichuan Province. The earthquake caused 69,227 people were killed, 374,643 people were injured, 179,23 people were missing. The earthquake was the most biggest and deadliest one since the establishment of the China. It occurred because that the Indian plate squeezed the Eurasian plate, it made rapid uplift of the Tibetan Plateau. Then the Tibetan Plateau squeezed Sichuan Basin. In this case, the Sichuan Basin was being squeezed day-by-day, night-by-night, year in year out. Finally, the Sichuan Basin couldn't against the pressure anymore and the earthquake happened. The Sichuan earthquake occurred in the Earth's crust and brittle ductile transition zone. The earthquake was shaking for a long time so that it caused lots of damages and had strongly influenced. There was no fresh water or food inside, and the electricity and signal is not workable. So in a long time, people lived in a dark and terrible circumstance. In the same time, the road destroyed by the earthquake, people could not got inside to helped people who suffered. No light at light, no food to ate, no water to drunk. You can't even image how terrible there was. Hoping this kind of awful thing would not happen again. Hoping everyone has a peace, safe and happy life.
